{Giveaway & Review} MAC Haul Part 2
So today I’ll be showing you the other MAC items I picked up from The Cosmetic Company and they all happen to be blushes *blushing sheepishly*.
All these MAC blushes are long wearing (±6 hours) and super pigmented. All of them were a real steal and I should stay very far away from The Cosmetic Company store as it is a makeup lover’s heaven.
MAC Blush Ombre in ‘Azalea Blossom’ (9g/0.31oz)
This limited edition, two-toned pink and purple duo gives just the right amount of flushed look to the cheekbones. The least shimmery of the lot, it’s lightweight but can be built up for a more pinkish shade. On my olive skin tone, both the pink and lilac leaves my cheeks with a gorgeous sheen. The compact is much larger than the other MAC blushes but that just means more product to don. Normal price is R350 ($30) and I picked it up for R140 ($12)
MAC Extra Dimension Blush in ‘At Dusk’ and ‘Flaming Chic’ (3.2g/0.10oz)
Resembling a combination of waves and paired with the MAC logo, the embossed pattern in the pan is so lovely to look at. At Dusk is an almost nudish-pink colour and for my skin tone, I have to layer quite a bit for it to be noticeable so I’d rather reach for a different blush instead. Flaming Chic on the other hand was also a limited edition colour. It is a beautiful shade between blue-pink and coral and leaves the skin with a satiny finish. Normal price is R245 ($21) and I picked it up for R130 ($11)
MAC Mineralize Blush in ‘Simmer’ (3.2g/0.10oz)
This blush was part of the limited edition blushes in the MAC Tropical Taboo Collection. It is a deep peachy rose with golden shimmer. There are two shades in the pan, a peach-gold shade and a maroon shade that vein out into each other to create the beautiful pattern. This one is my favourite MAC blush as the deep rich tone gives my cheeks a natural flustered but cutesy look but I have to be careful because the blush is highly pigmented and can definitely layer on too much too quickly. Even though this blush is long wearing as I mentioned above, I found that this blush wore away in patches so I have to re-set it with powder as the day progresses. Normal price is R300 ($25) and I picked it up for R130 ($11)
So the bad news is that these shades, except for ‘At Dusk’ were limited edition shades and are no longer available on the MAC website. If you’d like to get your hands on these you can make your way to The Cosmetic Company or check on eBay and Amazon.com.
And if you haven’t read my previous post, I am hosting an awesome MAC giveaway which you can read about here or just click the link below to enter.
