Wow now that’s a long name for a product. Physician’s Formula have ‘shimmer strips’ in a lot of their product names so I guess they’ve had to explain each product in detail to differentiate. For all my South African followers 🙂 I bring to you a product on my wishlist that is actually on sale in most Dischem stores nationwide. To be honest, I was somewhat feeling a bit guilty featuring unattainable products, not only for my readers sake, but because they are not readily available, I miss out on purchasing it too.
This weeks feature is from a brand also not available in South Africa at the moment. Tarte Cosmetics was founded by Maureen Kelly out of her New York City apartment in 1999, another brand that is striving to provide cruelty-free cosmetics. ‘Healthy, eco-chic beauty, infused with skinvigorating ingredients like superfruit and plant extracts, vitamins, minerals, essential oils and other naturally-derived ingredients free from parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, triclosan, synthetic fragrances and gluten’.

While browsing new makeup trends last week, I came across the new limited edition eyeshadow palette from Chantecaille and instantly knew it was the item I wanted to feature on this weeks wishlist for numerous reasons.
I can sit for days on end lusting over all the products that I see on the web and social media. It excites me to find out when new products are being launched and how companies try to one up their last product to get more bestsellers.
So I have decided to add a regular feature on the blog sharing those must-have, lust-have products for you fellow makeup lovers out there.
So whilst on vacation in Durban in December, I was so excited to finally be able to go to a LUSH store and pick up some products. I had been hesitant to pace an online order many a time purely because of their steep R90 delivery charge to Johannesburg (I wanted a few products and it totalled over 4kgs apparently).
So it’s been almost three weeks since I last posted and it feels like a lifetime. With real life getting in the way, there are just not enough hours in day to insatiate my passion. I’ve missed blogging so much I’m not going to rant on incessantly so I’ll get right on to it. Read the rest of this entry
I’ve never been one of those girls that had a skincare regime in place. I have been struggling with dry, dehydrated skin for most of my adult life as I’ve just used soap and whatever cream was closest at hand. As the years piled up, I started to notice some forehead lines and paid no attention to it. When I started wearing foundation this year, no matter how much or how little I used, it would always cake within minutes and clueless old me thought it was the type of foundation I was using (bear with me girls, I only started using makeup recently). When I eventually did a skin analysis during a facial, we found the root of the problem. So over the months I began to use cleanser, toner and moisturiser suited for dry skin. It got a bit better but then I was introduced to serums. I’ve tried many different brands and wasted lots of money but it has led me to an amazing product that I would recommend to anyone that shares the same skin concerns. Read the rest of this entry
