Heart beating faster. Panting. Salivating. Short of breath.
Those are just some of the reactions I had when I saw this blush along with elatement, excitement and ecstasy. As you all know by now, patterned blushes are my weakness and this blush is one of the most beautiful by far.
Housed in a gorgeous mercury clutch, the carving of roses awaits inside. The By Terry Terrybly Rose de Rose Trio Powder Blush is truly a sight for sore eyes. The powder itself smells delicately of a bouquet of roses. There are three different shades of pink matte and shimmer to give your skin a rosy flush whilst adding a faint shimmer for highlight. The formula is packed with photo-luminescent polymers so it looks like the skin is lit from within. It also contains light reflective correctors that melt into the skin while adjusting and toning either up or down to achieve a perfect flush and long-lasting flawless finish.
The luxe compact is said to be quite heavy but it resounds its relative price. The blush is priced at a steep $115 on the Space.NK online store which roughly equates to just over R1400. This is a limited edition item that is part of the Rose Infernale collection. Now while I can never justify spending that much on an individual blush, I can still add it on to my wishlist for the day I win the lottery or a friend decides to surprise me for my birthday 40 years from now 🙂
Have you tried any of the By Terry products? Which one is your favourite?

Wow now that’s a long name for a product. Physician’s Formula have ‘shimmer strips’ in a lot of their product names so I guess they’ve had to explain each product in detail to differentiate. For all my South African followers 🙂 I bring to you a product on my wishlist that is actually on sale in most Dischem stores nationwide. To be honest, I was somewhat feeling a bit guilty featuring unattainable products, not only for my readers sake, but because they are not readily available, I miss out on purchasing it too.
This weeks feature is from a brand also not available in South Africa at the moment. Tarte Cosmetics was founded by Maureen Kelly out of her New York City apartment in 1999, another brand that is striving to provide cruelty-free cosmetics. ‘Healthy, eco-chic beauty, infused with skinvigorating ingredients like superfruit and plant extracts, vitamins, minerals, essential oils and other naturally-derived ingredients free from parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, triclosan, synthetic fragrances and gluten’.
While browsing new makeup trends last week, I came across the new limited edition eyeshadow palette from Chantecaille and instantly knew it was the item I wanted to feature on this weeks wishlist for numerous reasons.
I can sit for days on end lusting over all the products that I see on the web and social media. It excites me to find out when new products are being launched and how companies try to one up their last product to get more bestsellers.
So I have decided to add a regular feature on the blog sharing those must-have, lust-have products for you fellow makeup lovers out there.
I’d like to share the current cheek products that I’ve seen on Instagram that I didn’t even know were available in SA besides the Physicians Formula ones. These few items I fell in love with the minute I laid eyes on them. If you browse through the pictures you’ll see why. Some of them have been out for a while and they range from drugstore to high-end. Enjoy! Read the rest of this entry
